The winery is located in a renovated circa 1900s barn and is situated high on a bluff overlooking Lake Ozark at the 70 MM. It is also accessible by boat. The winery offers hand-crafted, minimally-processed wines. There are two decks to enjoy the stunning lake views in a park-like, natural setting. The winery is also used as an event space for weddings and special events.
The winery was originally established in 1988 by James D. Stephens. In 1997, the tasting room and related wine-making operations were moved to its current location. In 2009, Jim's son, Matt Stephens, and his wife, Teresa, took over all operations. Matt is making small batches of wine by hand. The wine is produced on site using estate-grown grapes and production is supplemented from local grape growers. There are five types of wine currently in production: Chambourcin, Concord, Seyval Blanc, Traminette and apple. Tastings are available along with gourmet meat and cheese trays.
