Description
Performing for over 40 years, Vaughn Cowden has been a part of numerous bands specializing in reggae, island music, jazz, calypso, and blues with a smooth storytelling flair.
Vaughn is in the Kansas Music Hall of Fame, inducted in 2017 as part of the legendary Lawrence-based group Caribe.
Vaughn has performed in Australia, Canada, Dominican Republic, Uruguay, and throughout the Central US.
Vaughn has been performing solo since 2015.
In a live performance, Vaughn specializes in full-bodied keyboard work and harmonica. Playing a variety of instruments and styles, Vaughn's smooth-raspy singing voice and the injection of his personal stories will delight any crowd.
You can expect to enjoy arrangements ranging from The Beatles, Bob Marley, and Rolling Stones to Ray Charles and Van Morrison. Requests are welcome.
As a songwriter, Vaughn will get you up on the dance floor with his original work including R&B, Blues, and Trop Rock.
