Celebrate with Sangria

New Year’s Eve is typically celebrated with sparkling wine. Mix it up this year and try out this New Year’s Eve Red Sangria, using a Missouri Chambourcin!

Ingredients

Ingredients:

  • 1 lemon
  • 1 lime
  • 1 ½ cups rum (clear)
  • ½ cup Grand Marnier, chilled
  • 1 (750 ml) bottle of Missouri Chambourcin, chilled
  • 1 ½ cups watermelon juice, chilled
  • 2 cups pomegranate juice, chilled
  • 1 ½ tablespoons lime juice, chilled
  • 3 tablespoons sugar
  • ½ liter club soda, chilled

 

 

Steps:

  1. Slice Lemon and Lime into rounds.
  2. Place fruit in pitcher.
  3. Pour in rum.
  4. Cover with plastic wrap and put in the fridge for at least 4 hours.
  5. Add Grand Marnier, Chambourcin, watermelon juice, pomegranate juice, lime juice and sugar to pitcher.
  6. Add club soda.
  7. Stir well pressing fruit as you stir.
  8. Serve over ice, add more soda if needed.

Frosty Bottle Flair

Transform your empty wine bottles into stunning winter decorations that will add a flair to your holiday celebrations. With a bit of creativity and some simple materials, you can turn these bottles into a beautiful centerpiece. Whether you’re hosting a holiday gathering or just want to add a little seasonal charm to your home, this DIY will spark seasonal cheer in everybody. Supplies: 

  • 3 empty wine bottles 
  • Primer (white) spray paint
  • Epsom salt
  • Spray adhesive 
  • Assorted winter picks / sprays (optional) 

 

Steps: 

  1. Remove labels from wine bottle 
  2. Spray primer on bottles (let them dry) 
  3. Sprinkle epsom salt out onto newspaper
  4. Spray bottles with spray adhesive 
  5. Roll the tacky bottle in Epsom salt 
  6. Arrange the assorted winter picks / sprays
