Eagle’s Landing is located within Just A Taste, a wine cellar and restaurant in downtown St. James. Eagles’ Landing focuses on bringing the past and present together by combining science and art. Owners and winemakers, Eric Taylor and Casey Stuck, strive to develop well-balanced wines and meads (honey-wine), which are sure to please.
Eagles' Landing draws from the ripe heritage of the region. Eric's great-grandfather, Ricardo Mario Cardetti, was an early Italian immigrant who cultivated the vine in nearby Knobview (now named Rosati). In the 1930s, R.M. Cardetti and Sons opened their own winery, but it was forced to close at the start of World War 2. Today, Eric makes one of his wines from the same vineyard planted by his grandfather, Peno.
Tastings available at Just A Taste: Thursday - Sunday 11 am - 4pm
