Squirm in your seats as outstanding local actor Scott Cox, Chair of the Benedictine College Theater and Dance Department, presents a selection of short stories and poetry by the Master of the Macabre, Edgar Allan Poe. Long regarded as the originator of the horror story, the inspiration for the modern detective novel and the architect of the short story, Poe's vivid imagery, haunting prose and bizarre mind still shock, titillate and delight readers to this day. As you enjoy the warmth of a delicious glass of wine and the ambiance of the tobacco barn in the autumnal air, let Poe's words send a chill down your spine. There will be favorites like "The Raven" and "The Tell-Tale Heart" but also a few lesser-known works to surprise, entertain and unsettle you.

Tickets are $16.99/person and must be purchased in advance. To purchase tickets go to or call 816-579-9797.
